DKShi hospitalised in Delhi after complaints of high BP, RaGa may visit

New Delhi: Karnataka MLA D K Shivakumar’s health is said to have deteriorated after his arrest on Tuesday, September 3 night. Shivakumar complained of uneasiness and was subsequently admitted to the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital in New Delhi.

Youth Congress president Srinivas B V alleged that the Congress leader’s health had worsened after he was repeatedly harassed over the past few days.

Speaking to ANI, Srinivas said, “His health has deteriorated due to the harassment to which he has been subjected. Doctors have advised him to rest but the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is trying to take him away.”

It is also reported that former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi may pay DKShi a visit at the hospital today.

DKShi had reportedly complained of high Blood Pressure and discomfort at around 9.45 pm on Tuesday. However, sources informed ANI that Shivakumar is expected to be produced before the court on Wednesday, September 4 afternoon, as his health has improved after receiving treatment at the hospital.

ED officials arrested Shivakumar on Tuesday night in connection with a money laundering case. Towns in Karnataka’s Ramanagara district witnessed violent protests following this development. Congress party workers also staged statewide protests on Wednesday outside the headquarters of their respective districts.
