New Delhi: Playing any sport, keeps oneself healthy and fit. We have seen actors, sports stars and other personalities across industries, who involve themselves in different sporting events. Virat Kohli, M S Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja and many others apart from cricket are also passionate about football and play it.

Similarly, some of the politicians too are sports enthusiasts. Union Minister Rajvardhan Singh Rathore plays golf, shooting, sprinting etc., AICC President Rahul Gandhi does cycling and many more. Now to this list, astonishingly one more political leader has joined the list. it is none other than the fondly called “Didi” of the political fraternity, the West Bengal Chief Minister and the Trinamool Congress Supremo Mamata Banerjee.

Mamata shocked everyone when she was seen playing badminton passionately and skillfully.

She was wearing her usual white saree with a green shawl and was completely indulged in the game.

Mamata has captioned her photograph of playing badminton as “We love sports. A token game in a village.”

Her video and caption of playing badminton garnered mammoth response on the social media with well over 5,25,000 views.

Back in 2018, she had also made news with her artwork of Goddess Durga during one of the Durga Pooja pendal inaugurations.
