New Delhi: Believe it or not, but news reports making rounds claim that a businessman has surrendered a sum of Rs 6,000 cr and that too all in cash, after the demonetisation move of the government.

According to reports, the businessman is Laljibhai Patel, a Surat-based diamond merchant. Interestingly, he had hit headline recently for having gifted cars and flats to his employees as Diwali gift.

He is said to have been making generous donations for social causes. Recently, Patel had donated a romping Rs 200 cr for child education.
