New Delhi: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored the CRPF personnel who lost their lives in a terrorist assault in Pulwama on this very date in 2019.
Expressing his condolences on X, he stated, “I extend my respects to the courageous heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in Pulwama. Their dedication and valor in service to our nation will always be cherished.”
The attack, perpetrated by terrorists with links to Pakistan, involved the detonation of an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy, resulting in the tragic loss of 40 personnel.
In response to this heinous act, the Indian Air Force executed a retaliatory strike by targeting suspected terrorist camps in Pakistan’s Balakot region.
