At least eight people were injured in Saturday’s temporary stage collapse at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, while two more people were safely rescued. The incident happened close to the stadium’s Gate Number 2, where work was still being done.
As soon as the incident was reported, a team from the Delhi Police and the fire department arrived on the scene.
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium surveillance footage showed police officers in attendance.
A Delhi Police official confirmed that the injured individuals were transported to a hospital, while a search operation at the site was actively underway.
