Bihar: A court in Bihar’s Sitamarhi district has got a bizarre case in which the petitioner has sued Lord Ram for renouncing his wife Sita in Ramayana.

According to reports, an advocate from Sitamadhi in Bihar, Thakur Chandan Kumar Singh, has said that Lord Rama was ‘torturous’ to his wife Sita by throwing her out of the house after listening to what a washer-man had to say about their marriage. The lawyer who is seeking justice for Sita has also questioned that how Lord Rama could be so heartless towards his own wife.

Singh claims that the injustice towards women began in Treta Yug(when Lord Rama is believed to have ruled Ayodhya). He further says that until the women from Treta Yug are not given justice, women in Kalyug won’t get it either.

The court will hear the case on Monday where a decision will be taken on whether to accept the plea or reject it.
