Mumbai, Feb 21: MLA Krishna Hegde and 350 activists protested on the streets of Vile Parle against Jayalalitha’s decision to free former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s killers.

Slogans of ‘Jayalalitha Hay!! Hay!!’ and ‘Rajiv Gandhi Amar Rahen’ rang through the air. Portraits of Jayalalitha were burned on the occasion.

MLA Krishna Hegde thanked the Supreme Court for granting a stay on the release of Rajiv Gandhi’s killers.

‘It is unfortunate that Jayalalitha is releasing terrorists and killers of our former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi for the sake of votes’ said Hegde.

‘How can the common man be secure and what justice can he expect from such a leader?’ asked Hegde.

Corporators Winnie D’Souza and Kamlesh Rai were also present during the protest.
