New Delhi: Veteran journalist and managing editor of CNN-News18, Radhakrishnan Nair passed away early on Tuesday, November 27. He was 54-years-old.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Following news of Nair’s demise, tributes poured in from the journalistic and political fraternity, some of whom remembered him as a ‘warm-hearted soul with an irrepressible zest for life and news’.

Nair, hailing from Kerala, was born in 1964 and was the eldest of the four children. He began his career in journalism when he moved to Delhi and began working at United News of India (UNI). A few years later, he transitioned into TV journalism.

Apart from his other achievements, Nair was a part of CNN-News18’s founding team and was also responsible for mentoring several of his colleagues.
