New Delhi: Following feedback received from various stakeholders and deliberation in meetings of the Committee of Courses of the Board and Subject Experts, the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised the question paper pattern for the English (Core) subject for the upcoming Class 12 examinations.
In the new pattern, Section A (Reading) will only have two passages instead of the earlier three. The typology of the questions has also been changed with the need to attend 5 MCQs, nine very short answer type, three short answer type questions from passage one and two long answer type questions from passage two. The total number of questions in the paper in total has been reduced from 40 to 35.
