Hyderabad: The Crime Investigation Department which is probing the Hyderabad bus tragedy which charred to death 45 lives, has gathered that the driver of the ill-fated bus was  doing overtime.

The CID investigation  into the tragedy is  near complete and the CID is learnt to have come to the conclusion that the   driver was responsible for the accident. The investigation also revealed that the driver Feroz Khan was on duty for the second day as the  other driver was sick.

Though he was supposed to take  a leave on Wednesday and report to work on Thursday, he opted to work on Wednesday after the employer offered him double wages, police said.

Meanwhile, police have refused to cite the  rules which the ill-fated bus of Jabbar Travels had violated.
