New Delhi:Delhi Police on Tuesday detained the wife of Bahujan Samaj Party MP Dhananjay Singh for questioning in connection with the death of her domestic help on Monday evening.

Police said that Jagriti Singh was detained on the basis of the information given by one of their domestic helps.

He claimed that that Rakhi was allegedly beaten to death by Jagriti.

They said anything conclusive could be established only after an autopsy is performed.

She was taken into custody from the South Avenue residence in Delhi.

Singh is an MP from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh.
