New Delhi: The BJP Election Committee has finalised its list of candidates for 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka. It has fielded sitting MP Nalin Kumar Kateel from Dakshina Kannada and Sadananda Gowda from Bangalore North.
This was informed to reporters at the national capital on March 8, Saturday by senior leader Ananthkumar. Bangalore North’s sitting MP DB Chandregowda has been shown the doors to make way for Sadananda Gowda. However, the party is yet to finalise its candidate for ten more constituencies. Former CM Yeddyurappa has been given a chance to contest from Shimoga.
The candidate for Udupi-Chikmagalur is also yet to be finalised. The candidate for Bellary too has not been announced as the issue of reinducting Sriramulu of BSR Congress is yet undecided. The candidates for rest of the constituencies will be finalised after the Committee meeting on March 13, Ananthkumar said.
