Bihar :Reacting sharply to BJPs charges that the state failed to provide security to Hunkar rally in Patna where multiple explosions killed six people, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday said proper arrangements were made for the BJP rally.

The BJP had accused Nitish of ignoring the Intelligence alert on threat to life of BJPs PM candidate Narendra Modi, the charge Nitish has denied. Nitish has maintained that there was no alert. Stating that the Patna blast probe was handed over to NIA, he said he had told police to sanitise Gandhi Maidan, the venue of the rally.

According to blasts mastermind and Indian Mujahideen operative Tehseen Akhtar, who was arrested after the blast, the explosions were meant to disrupt Modis rally.

He compared Modi to Hitler and said Hunkar showed BJPs arrogance.

Taking on Modi, he said, “someone aspiring for top post must be cool-headed. Modi is good at repeating a lie hundred times.”In an indirect attack on Modi, who as a kid sold tea on railway platforms, Nitish said, “I have not sold tea, but I am a common man.”
