New Delhi: BCCI nominated Virat Kohli, vice captain of Indian team and captain of Bangalore Royal Challengers to confer Arjun Award.

Kohli has performed superbly in all cricket season this year.  Kohli was in super form in the last year too.  The former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar was nominated to confer Dhyanchand award for his lifetime achievement.

BCCI had not nominated none of Indian cricketers to confer Arjun award in the last year, owing to lack of communication between BCCI and sports ministry.  In spite of India won World Cup in 2011, BCCI had not nominated any for Arjun award.
