Churu(Rajasthan):Discus thrower Krishna Poonia joined the Congress at party vice-president Rahul Gandhis rally at the Police Ground here.

Ashok Tanwar, AICC member and in charge of partys affairs in Rajasthan, made the announcement in this regard at the rally.

He introduced 31-year-old Poonia to Gandhi, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Union minister Sis Ram Ola and AICC general secretary Gurudas Kamat.

Married to V S Poonia of Gagarwas village in Churu district, the athlete, hailing from Agroha in Haryanas Hisar district, greeted the crowd with folded hands.
