Kottayam: As far as Kerala politics is concerned, the recent killings of the Communist and the BJP workers had portrayed ‘God’s own Country’ in poor light. In continuation of the same, yet another incident from Kerala shows how a ruling party worker was seen flaunting his political clout to make mockery of the system.

Midhum (23), alias Ambily, Secretary of the ruling Left Democratic Front was brought to police station on Monday for attacking a BJP worker at Kumarakom. However, Midhun, who was waiting at the police station resorted to clicking selfie donning police cap to kill time. He then proudly sent the images to his friends on whatsapp and pictures have gone viral.

Soon to respond was the BJP Kottayam District President N Hari, who posted the picture on Facebook saying “The welcome Ambily, CPM goonda from Kumarakom, an accused in many criminal cases, received at the police station”
Taking note of the same Kottayam police commissioner placed an inquiry and suspended three policemen. The LDF too suspended Midhun.
