Kochi: In the aftermath of the unfortunate armed robbery incident that occurred at the Bagalur- Hosur road Muthoot Finance branch on January 22, Babu John, Corporate communications head of the company says that every single gram of gold that the customers entrust in them is insured and will be returned to them safely.

The gold had been completely recovered by the efforts of the police and is currently been kept at the Cyberabad police station. All the seven robbers who had looted 23kg gold worth Rs. 10 crores from the branch have been arrested by the police authorities within 24 hours of the incident and taken into custody.

While speaking about the security breech in the office, John said, “we have a really good security system which includes strong locks, grill bars, CCTV and an alarm system that will notify the police if there is any breech. This unfortunate incident which has happened to us for the first time occurred because the employees were held at gunpoint and they had no other option than to hand over the keys.” He mentioned that there even night patrolling by the police exist in the area.

He talked about how the company was thankful to the police for having retrieved the customers gold. “Even if the gold was not found by the police, we would have given back the customers every single gram of the gold that they had given us because it is insured. We value the faith that our customers have in us and we will not break it, he added.
