A free newspaper transforms the life of a poor boy

Bhopal: A 10 year old boy has been adopted by the Madhya Pradesh Congress for giving a newspaper for free to congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, for he had no change. Pleased by the boy’s attitude, state Congress met Kaushal shakya and his father Dulichand shakya at the party office in Bhopal on Saturday. State Congress adopted the boy and promised that the party would give Rs.1,000 per month.  The boy had told Mr.Gandhi that he wanted to be a doctor.

The boys father was offered a job as a peon at a college which  was run by the senior congress leader Sajid Ali.

Kaushal poor boy who could continue his studies by selling newspapers , got  a chance to meet Mr.Gandhi on April 25 who was heading for Raja Bhoj airport in a car. When he requested   him to buy  the newspaper Mr.gandhi took it and gave him Rs.1,000 note,the boy had no change so he returned it and it is said that he offered the copy  for free .Then they both had a brief chat.

Thus  Kaushal a class 5 student could get support from the Congress party for his  dedication towards his job.
