Hyderabad: A video that surfaced on Tuesday and has gone viral on social media shows an altercation between PhD scholar Rohith Vemula and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists.

In the video, Vemula, who was found hanging in his hostel room on Sunday, can be heard saying that he would tear off everything which is saffron in colour.

This video was shot a few days before he committed suicide.

 Rohith Vemula, a Dalit PhD scholar, was found hanging at the Central University’s hostel room in the campus on Sunday, triggering protests from fellow students.
