Mangaluru: Tulu is the language used by the maximum number of people along with the coastal districts. Today, Tulu is on the way to become the official language, said VM Venkatramana Asranna here in Tulu Bhavan in Tuluvere Elato, a weekly programme organised by the Sarayu institution.

Dayananda Kattalsar, president of Karnataka Tulu Literary Academy in his presidential remark said, “ Let us all strive for the prosperity of the Tulu language jointly.”

Bhaskara Rai Kukkuvalli greeted the gathering. Yaksha artistes Ravibhat Nellyadi and Skanda Kennar were felicitated. Bhagavata Ravichandra Kannadikatte and team performed Tulu Yakshagana Biruta Parbo.
