Tulu academy, Sarayu should work together to get recognition for Tulu language

Mangaluru: The Tulu culture is very rich as it has Yakshagana, Drama, and some unique rituals. Many organizations, including the government, are now working hard for including the Tulu language into the 8th schedule of the constitution. Tulu academy, Sarayu should work together to get recognition for the Tulu language, said  Damodar Nisarga said while felicitating the social worker Subhadra Bhat at the Sarayu Sapthao – Tuluvere Elato program held here in Tulu Bhavan.

Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Akademy President Dayananda Kattalsar said in his presidential address that, “Prakrit Tulu is an optional language. Tulu M. A. course is also run by the government. Everyone can benefit from this.”

Ravibhat Nelyady, Sudhakar Rao Pejavara, Jeevan Amin, Rajesh Shetty, Madhava Nawada, President Madhusudana Alavuraya, and Director Varkadi Ravi Alevuraya were present. Pratham Anchan saluted.
