Mangaluru: District BJP President Sudarshan Moodbidri lighted the lamp and inaugurated the works of stage renovation of Konkani Nataka Sabha, Don Bosco Hall here on Monday August 2. The stage has showcased dramas, plays, Bharatanatyam performances and other cultural programmes for past 70 years.

The renowned senior and junior artistes who have performed on stage at Don Bosco Hall such as Devdas Kapikad, Vijaykumar Kodialbail, Kishore Shetty, Thamanna Laxman, Dolla Mangalore, Dolphy Saldanha, and Muralidhar Kamath formed Pundi Panav Hundi for collecting donation for renovation.

Well-known Kannada director Rajendra Singh Babu was felicitated at the event.

Fr. Paul Melvyn D’Souza, President welcomed the gathering. Vice President Lyston D’Cunha delivered the keynote address. Raymond D’Cunha compered the programme and Floyd D’Mello delivered vote of thanks. Treasurer Jerry Concesso, and Joint Secretary Praveen Rodrigues were present on the occasion.
