Mangaluru: MLA B. Vedavyas Kamath said that music is a supplement for mental concentration.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Swara Sambhrama music programme held in collaboration with the Department of Kannada and Culture, Kala Sadhana Music School, Kamadhenu Go Ashram Trust, Nelligudde, Inner Wheel Club Mangalore North, Government School, Gandhinagara at School Auditorium.  Organising programmes like music in schools is important to develop good manners and culture in children. Concentration is important for learning, Kamath said and added that music is also helpful in relieving stress.

Bhaska Rai compered the programme. A celebratory musical programme was held by Vibha Srinivas Nayak and the team. Harmonium Kishan Prabhu, and Pranam Kamath accompanied through tabla.
