Mangaluru: Eating fruits nourishes our body and keeps us fit and healthy. To bring an awareness of the importance and consumption of fruits in a regular diet, the twinkling stars of the nursery and pre-nursery section of Mount Carmel Central School celebrated Fruits Day on 22 Sep 2023. The children entered their classroom carrying one or two fruits of their choice to know more about it and the salad-making activity was indeed a pleasant sight.
It was an occasion to teach children about the health benefits of different fruits, nature’s most fantastic food. The tiny tots of nursery and pre-nursery brought varieties of fruits and some of them spoke about their favourite fruit, why they liked the fruit etc. Sr Asha Prima gave the importance of different fruits to the children and asked some questions to them which they answered happily. The tiny tots learned more about the taste, smell, colour and texture of each fruit. The teachers along with the children sang rhymes related to fruits. Finally, the teachers prepared fruit salad and every child enjoyed it to the full. The day was indeed very fruitful and relishing!!!
