A requiem mass was offered  for the repose soul  of Late Bishop Basil S. D’Souza on his 25th Death Anniversary  19th at St Lawrence Church Bondel on 19th September. Bishop Emeritus Most Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza offered mass. Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Rupesh Tauro, Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves, Rev. Fr Pascal, Rev. Fr Ronald  and Rev. Fr Timothy SVD concelebrated the Mass. The lay faithful gathered in large numbers and offered prayers for the soul of late Bishop. After the mass, an Eulogy programme was arranged. Bishop Emeritus, Priests and Parish Pastoral Council  Vice President Reginald D’Souza and the secretary Steevan Noronha paid homage by offering flowers to Bishop’s portrait.

Most Rev. Aloysius recalled his good memories with  Late Bishop Basil. Denis Neri D’Souza paid the tribute and gave us an insight of the late Bishop’s life. James D’Souza compered the programme. Nirmala Roche welcomed the gathering. Shailesh Dsouza thanked everyone who worked for its success. The Parish Priest prayed grace before the meals.
