Mangaluru: Journalist Imtiaz Shah Thumbey has been selected for the prestigious “BG Mohan Das Award” for the first time in Kannada digital media reporting.

To commemorate BG Mohan Das, the Kannada Rajyotsava Awardee, and the founder of Gulf Kannadiga.com, the first Kannada website in the gulf country Nirata Sahitya Sampad, Thumbey and Gulf Kannadiga organisation presents this award.

Bantwal reporter Imtiaz Shah Thumbey has been selected for the award for his Special Report “Network Business, a Fraud Network” published in the digital edition of the Varthabharati.

The award will be presented on August 31, the day of BG Mohan Das’s first death anniversary.
