Mangaluru: Indian Red Cross Society, D.K. District, apart from providing food kits to the migrant labourers during COVID-19 has also taken up a vaccination drive.
Special and vulnerable sections like Non-Resident Indians, Students, Barbers, Tailors, Photographers, Fishermen etc., have been vaccinated by the special drives organized by our Indian Red Cross Society, D.K District Branch in collaboration with District Administration.

The press release informed that “about 45,000 people have benefited from this. Besides this, a unique project of House to House vaccination for the aged and the bedridden is taken up. The team of doctors, health workers and Asha workers along with Red Cross volunteers are visiting the houses of bedridden and aged people and they are being vaccinated.
Out of 60 wards, the 1st dose vaccination has been completed in 39 wards covering about 4200 people. 2nd dose was completed in 25 wards covering around 2800 people.
The vaccination for these helpless people is going on relentlessly.
