Mangaluru: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Central Council in collaboration with the ICYM Kinnigoli deanery would be hosting the “Diaference – 2018”, at the Pakshikere Church Grounds on February 11.

The event is being organised under the leadership of the Director Rev. Fr. Ronald Prakash D’Souza, President Elroy Saldanha, Secretary Joel Concessao and other council members in collaboration with ICYM Kinnigoli Deanery led by Director Fr. Clifford Pinto, President Preema Pinto, Secretary Jenifer Saldanha and deanery committee.

Nearly 2000 youth from 117 parishes of Mangalore Diocese will attend this youth conference which is held on the theme “Youth to witness Christ at Society’s different walks of life.” The highlights of the conference are panel discussions on the theme, Holy Eucharistic celebration and cultural programmes depicting the Konkani culture.

The conference will commence with a “Peace Rally” flagged of by Rev. Fr. Andrew Leo D’Souza at 8.30 AM from Pakshikere Bus Stand to Pakshikere Church Grounds followed by the inaugural ceremony at 9.30 AM. Msgr. Denis Moras Prabhu, Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese will preside over the inaugural programme with Lt. Col. Gracian Sequeira as the chief guest.

Most. Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore, will preside over the valedictory ceremony. Eminent NRI entrepreneur James Mendonca will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Rev. Fr. Vincent Monteiro, Vicar Forane of Kinnigoli Deanery, Fr. Chethan Machado, Secretary, CCBI Youth Commission, Fr. Anil D’Sa, Karnataka Regional Youth Director and Raymond D’Souza, ICYM National Governing Council member will be the guests of honour.
