Mangaluru: Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, released a Konkani book titled ‘Dev Manshant Aylo – Jeju Christachem Jivit’ by the well-known poet and writer Marian Paul Rodrigues at the Milagres Senate Auditorium.

Bishop Dr Saldanha highlighted that “The word of God is like sunlight.” While some benefit from reading it, others misuse it. Marian Paul Rodrigues’ book offers a closer perspective for understanding and interpreting the Word of God.

Chief Spiritual Guru Vankapu Bonaventure Nazareth welcomed guests at the Milagres Church. Author Marian Paul Rodrigues shared, “Writing about Jesus Christ had been a long-standing desire. Despite thirty years in the Gulf, retirement rekindled my aspiration. Over almost nine years, I studied and created a 540-page book, despite health challenges.”

Rodrigues expressed gratitude to Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, who granted permission for publication through ‘Impri-Matur’, and to all supporters, especially family. “My goal is to provide an authentic understanding of Jesus Christ and assist vulnerable sections with book sales proceeds,” Rodrigues emphasized.

The book launch event saw the author’s spouse, Jacintha Rodrigues, son Dr Jonathan Rodrigues, Chetan Kapuchin from Sevak Publishing, Sylvester Mascarenhas, Vice President of Milagres Church Maintenance Committee, and Secretary Jacintha Fernandes on stage.

Eddie Sequeira, a distinguished artist, led the program, and Aron Lobo extended gratitude to the gathering. The Milagres Church Youth Choir performed hymns composed by Marian Paul Rodrigues, and directed by Cyprian Master.
