Mangaluru: An anti-drug campaign was launched at St Lawrence Church in Bondel on September 10. This campaign aims to raise awareness about dangerous substance addiction and combat the use of these harmful substances.

Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza stressed the urgency and need to address the drug menace in society. Fr requested all children and young people to refrain completely from the consumption of drugs before it destroys their health, their future, and their lives. Don’t even try to touch or come close to them. Drugs can even destroy a complete generation. So think wisely and act smartly.

Children , youths and parents took part in this campaign, holding placards from church premises to St Lawrence English Medium School.In his presidential address, Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves, principal of the school, said, “Youth is the power of any nation. But the tragic part is that the youth are falling prey to this kind of drug abuse and are welcoming various kinds of diseases.
