Mangaluru: A short story collection titled “Mazaar Ani Yer Katha” comprising of 10 short stories written by Professor Melwyn Rajesh Castelino, well known as Melwyn Pernal in the Konkani literary world was released on October 14.

Rev. Nelson D’Souza of Gandhidham Province in Gujarat and Ronald G Sequiera , President of Konkani Writers and Artists Association jointly released the new short story collection.

Owner of Kittal Publications, H M Pernal and writer Melwyn Pernal briefed about the new short story collection to the select gathering. Professor and television anchor Allwyn Dominic Danti compered the programme.

Melwyn Pernal, an M Tech graduate, is presently working as an assistant professor at Nitte Engineering College. Part of Mechanical Engineering faculty, Melwyn is aiming to complete his PhD shortly. A prolific writer, Melwyn has worked as editor of “Amcho Yuvak” and “Talo” news magazines. Plays written by him have found huge fan following in Canada, Dubai and other gulf countries, whenever enacted.

“Mazaar Ani Yer Katha” is the fourth work of Melwyn Pernal released by Kittal Publications and contains 10 short stories. Foreword for this collection is written by well known poet and story writer Wilson Kateel. Kittal Publications had released “Beeg Ani Bigaath”, another short story collection written by Melwyn Pernal in the past.
