Mangaluru: The Community Health Department of Yenepya Nursing College organised a health check-up and counseling session at the government high school in Kumpala on Saturday, December 14.

School Headmistress Radhika, SDMC President Vinod Kumar, Secretary Satish Kumpala, and Programme Convener Shaisil Mathew inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Yenepoya College Community Medicine Department member Dr Suraj Vinay Kumar did the health-checkup of the school children. Fourth-year BSc Nursing student Archana raised awareness about the importance of personal hygiene and health.

Earlier, Headmistress Radhika welcomed the gathering and BSc Nursing student Amitha delivered the vote of thanks. Over 57 school children and seven school teachers took part in the programme.
