Content: VTU intercollegiate, 2022-23, Rest of Bengaluru Division Men Netball & State Level Women Netball tournament was inaugurated on 29 March 2023 at SJEC College Ground under the banner of Department of Physical Education, St Joseph Engineering College.

Rev. Fr Alwyn Richard D’Souza, Assistant Director of SJEC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director of SJEC, was the President of the programme. Dr Rio D’Souza, Principal of SJEC, Dr Purushothama Chippar, Vice Principal and Dr Ramananda H S, Dean of Student Welfare, SJEC were the Guest of Honour.  Rakesh Lobo, HR Manager of the college along with Poornesh M, Sports Advisor and Ms Vaneesha Rodrigues, PED were present during the inaugural programme.

The programme started with an invocation and Poornesh M welcomed the gathering.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest and President of the programme wished the participating teams good luck.

Vaneesha Rodrigues delivered the Vote of thanks. Joel D’mello and Smitha D’souza compered the programme.

The tournament witnessed the participation of student teams from various institutions affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) displaying their skills and competencies making the tournament more challenging and interesting.
