Mangaluru: The 70th Independence Day of India was celebrated at Vikas Pre-University College on Monday, August 15.

Nalini Kumar Kateel, MP of LokSabha speaking on the occasion said, “Never forget the sacrifice of thousands who laid their lives for our country. India is a temple of the universe. Education was introduced before the British rule. Everyone said that India is a poor and a land of untouchables. But fact is India is a historical place filled with knowledge, personalities, universities, and lots more things. India is developing now at a fast pace.
