Mangaluru: St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), had organised an university level inter collegiate basketball tournament for women on January 5 here at the college basketball court.

Jane Sequeira, sister of Joyce Pais, was the guest of honour, along with John Sherra, Vice Principal (Xavier Block). Volleyball Coach Rajaram conveyed his best wishes to all the teams and inaugurated the tournament.

The tournament kick started with St. Agnes College, Mangalore competing against St. Annamma College, Virajpet.

Alva’s College, Moodabidri secured the first position followed by St. Annamma College, Virajpet at the second spot and St. Aloysius College, Mangalore team at third.

Dr. A M Narahari, Registrar, St. Aloysius College, Mangalore; Jane Sequeira, sister of Joyce Pais and Dr. Gerald Santhosh D’Souza, Assistant Director of Physical Education, Mangalore University presided over the valedictory programme.
