Nanjangudu: Teachers are truly our unsung heroes. They toil to shape the future of the students but are often never thanked for their service. 

This apart, teachers in India are also under-paid. However, setting a brilliant example is Citizen Education Foundation of Nanjangudu, which hand-picked as many as five teachers who have worked for about 25 years in their institutions and thanked them for their valuable service. As token of appreciation, these teachers were also gifted with Alto cars.

The teachers were handed over with the gifts as part of birthday celebration of founder of Citizen Education Foundation Mr Javed.

School Head teacher Hinah Kannan, Accounts head Shantha, Assistant teacher Sandhya, Assistant Head Teacher Qutub Tara, Principal Mythili Lakshman received the gift.

Office-bearers of the Foundation Masooda Begum, Noor Mohommed, Ania Ali among others were present.
