Technocracy’16 held at Shree Devi Institute of Technology Kenjar

Mangaluru: Technocracy’16, a National Level PG Technical Symposium at Shree Devi Institute of Technology, Kenjar was inaugurated on   13th May, 2016 at the SDIT campus by Dr. Ganesh V. Bhat, Principal, Canara Engineering College, Benjanpadav.
Technocracy’16 provides a platform for all unprecedented and innovative ideas of students.  
    
In his inaugural speech, Dr. Ganesh V. Bhat said, “India as a country needs to move from a knowledge based education system to a product based education system. We need to commercialize our ideas and become entrepreneurs rather than job seekers. Learning should not only be a process of gaining theoretical knowledge but a process of transforming this knowledge into reality”.

A. Sadananda Shetty, Chairman, SDET in his presidential address said, “Education is not a part of life, but education is life itself. Education is not only acquiring knowledge but using that knowledge to gain wisdom”.

Maina S. Shetty, Secretary, SDET, Dr. K.E.Prakash, Director, SDIT, Dr. Dilip Kumar K., Principal, SDIT and Mr. Darshan N, Convener, Technocracy’16 were present on the occasion.

Post graduate students from Computer Science, Electronics & Communication and Civil Engineering branches presented their research papers during the event.

Winners of Technocracy’16 were felicitated during the Valedictory function which was presided by Dr. Dilip Kumar K., Principal, SDIT. Dr. K.E.Prakash, Director, SDIT was present on the occasion.  

Over 100 students from 38 colleges participated in the event.
