Mangaluru: St Aloysius PU College celebrated ‘Musical Day 2019’ – a musical extravaganza -at the pretorium on Saturday, September 14.
Ashish Palanna, renowned guitarist and vocalist, was the chief guest on the occasion. Fr Dionysius Vas, rector, St Aloysius Educational Institutions, presided over the inaugural ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Ashish Palanna said, “I am a noted musician because of this place. The teachers here supported me so, I always think of St Aloysius College as a great spot for all talents. Music makes everyone happy and gives us pleasure. Although listening to music is easy, it is very difficult to create. Musical days and festivals such as this will help motivate young musicians to achieve something. I wish the performers of this Musical Day the best.”
Fr Dionysius, in his presidential address, said, “St Aloysius Educational Institutions gives a lot of importance to music as it unites us all. Music does not have any language or religion and is universal and divine. The Musical Day will help students exhibit their talents and will motivate leadership and provide lasting entertainment. I congratulate the organising committee and wish them success.”
