Mangaluru: Sahyadri students have secured 2nd Rank in Computer Science and 5th Rank in Civil Engineering in the VTU Examination this year.

Akanksha Soni, a Computer Science Engineering student from Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru, excelled by securing the 2nd Rank in Visvesvaraya Technological University for the Academic Year 2022-23 with an impressive CGPA of 9.69. Her accomplishments led to an offer from Thoughtfocus through a Campus recruitment drive. Additionally, she is currently in the final round of the selection process for KSCST funding for her project titled ‘Identification of Snake using its Bite Mark.’ Soni pursued her PU Education at Divine International Academy.

Carmeline D. Fernandes hails from Karwar, Karnataka. Carmeline completed her PUC from St. Joseph Comp PU College Karwar and thereafter pursued a BE in civil engineering at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangalore. Currently, she is preparing for Gate and aspires to pursue her Masters in Structural Engineering. Looking ahead, she envisions herself as a successful engineer contributing to nation-building endeavours.

Carmeline’s father works as a civil contractor, while her mother is a homemaker. Throughout her educational journey, her family has been incredibly supportive, offering encouragement at every step of her life.

Carmeline expresses her heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional education and unforgettable experiences she had during her time at Sahyadri College.
