Mangaluru: The association of journalism teachers of various colleges under the jurisdiction of Mangalore University has been launched. The major decisions were taken during a one-day workshop on Journalism UG syllabus (NEP) held at University College, Mangaluru on Monday.

Mangalore University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya, Journalism UG BOS Chairperson Prof. Kishori Naik K wished the association. 

Prof Bhaskar Hegde

Journalism Department Head at SDM College Ujire, Prof. Bhaskara Hegde unanimously selected as the honorary President of the association. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Bhaskar Hegde opined that the association will be a bridge between journalism teaching and industry.

Rakesh Kumar Kammaje of Ambika Vidyalaya as Secretary, Sachdendra of University Evening College and Guruprasad TN of University College, Mangaluru were unanimously elected as the Joint Secretaries of the association, while Dr Sowmya K B will be the treasurer.
