Students of St Philomena College Participate in Police Run’24

Puttur: As part of the Karnataka State Police Golden Jubilee Celebrations, an awareness program ‘Police Run 2024’ was organized by the Police Department. Hundreds of St Philomena College students participated in the program.

The event was flagged off at the Fr Patrao circle at Darbe by the SP of Dakshina Kannada district C.B. Ryshyanth, IPS, by releasing doves. He then mentioned that awareness programs organized by the Police Department will be held every month in all schools and colleges under the jurisdiction of the Police Department.

The ‘Police Run- 2024’ event, which started at Fr Patrao circle, passed through the main road and concluded at the Puttur City Police Station. ASP of DK District Dharmappa, DySP of Puttur Arun Nagegowda, Puttur City Police Inspector Satish GJ, Sub-Inspector Anjaneya Reddy, Puttur Women’s Police station Inspector Sunil Kumar MS were present.

Puttur Traffic Police station Inspector Shahid Afridi, Police personnel of all Police stations, St Philomena college student council, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, Rovers and Rangers, and Youth Red Cross volunteers also participated in the Police Run 2024.

The Principal of the college Rev. Dr Anthony Prakash Monteiro, Vice Principal of St Philomena College Dr P.S. Krishnakumar, Public Relations Officer Bharathi S. Rai, Student Welfare Officer Dr Chandrashekar K, NSS Program Officers Vasudev N and Pushpa N, and coordinator of Rover Rangers Dhanya PT were present.
