Mangaluru: The License Raj system prevalent in our country in the earlier days posed several hardships for the entrepreneurs, thanks to the conventional rules and bureaucratic hurdles in the same.

Unfortunately, though several reforms were introduced in the interim, it took 69 long years for entrepreneurs to easily obtain the Udyog Aadhar cards, which are very much essential to avail the benefits of the government. With the introduction of Udyog Aadhar Scheme since 2016, entrepreneurs can register new companies online through self declaration.

“We are certain that the simplification of the procedure will have a big impact on the growth of industries”, opined Dr. V S Manjunath, MSME approved Master Trainer and Director, Nitte School of Management, while inaugurating the Udyog Aadhar Registration Camp organised by Peenya Industries Association in collaboration with Nitte School of Management.

The students of Nitte School of Management extended their services in educating about the scheme and also facilitated more than 100 companies to obtain their Udyog Aadhar Cards through online registration during the camp.

Shashidhar Shetty, former treasurer, KASSIA, presided over the function. In his presidential address, he called upon the students to become entrepreneurs as the rules are simplified through Start-up India initiative.

Sri Shivakumar from Peenya Industries Association proposed a vote of thanks.
