Mangaluru: The activities of the National Service Scheme of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) for the year 2018-19 was inaugurated recently by Renny D’Souza, the Director of Childline, Dakshina Kannada at Eric Mathais Hall.

Briefing the volunteers about Children’s Rights and Childline’s involvement in the same, Renny D’Souza named the various areas through which NSS volunteers could help the society in taking care of the rights of the children. He also shared his memories at St Aloysius College as NSS volunteer which helped him to go further in his career.

A glimpse of NSS activity done in the previous year was presented for the information of new volunteers. A video of NSS annual camp 2017 was also shown on the occassion.

The program began with a prayer song by Shruthi and team. Florin Soans welcomed the gathering and NSS Secretary Ashish D Souza proposed vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Shruthi and Sushma. The program ended by singing the NSS anthem.
