Shivamogga: State’s Department of Higher Education, Kuvempu University and Athens State University, USA will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to undertake Academic Research Programme on Tuesday, February 22 in an online programme to be held at 8.00 pm.
The meeting will be attended by dignitaries and experts from all the three institutions and will implement the agreement signed to co-operate with each other on academic and research activities. The exchange between faculty and students as well as degree programmes on special topics between both the institutes to undertake education and research activities would be taken up as per agreement between Alabama’s Athens Varsity and Kuvempu Varsity, stated a press release from the Kuvempu University.
At this meeting, State Higher Education Minister Dr C. N. Ashwath Narayan, Karnataka Higher Education Board Vice President Prof. Thimmegowda, Executive Director Prof. Gopalakrishna Joshi, Higher Education Department Additional Chief Secretary Kumar Naik G., Kuvempu University Vice-Chancellor Prof. B. P. Veerabhadrappa, Registrar Anuradha. G, Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. C. M. Thyagaraj, Alabama’s Athens University President Prof. Phillip Way, Vice President Dr Catherine Wehlburg and other experts, as well as members, will be present.
