Mangaluru: Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), part of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, and DLabs Incubator Association at the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad have announced a significant partnership. On January 30, 2024, both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate and enhance grassroots innovations and start-ups.
Commander (Dr ) Anil Rana, Director of MIT, highlighted that the collaboration would provide essential support and mentorship to MIT students. Acknowledging the growing interest in entrepreneurship among students, MIT has introduced a five-year integrated dual degree with M.Tech. (Entrepreneurship), offered by the Department of Humanities and Management to B.Tech. students at MIT. This partnership with DLabs enhances the existing startup ecosystem at Manipal, helping students to launch their start-ups.
Saumya Kumar, CEO of DLabs, emphasised the importance of this MoU with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. This alliance is a very important step in promoting entrepreneurship in India. It aims to create a thriving ecosystem for innovative ideas and empower budding entrepreneurs. The partnership allows for shared resources and expertise, strengthening both institutions’ roles in fostering a culture of entrepreneurship.
