Mangaluru: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit and Youth Red Cross association volunteers of Milagres College rendered a small but remarkable service to the flood-affected families of Mithabailu, Kukkavu Village, Belthangady Taluk on 25 August 2019.

A group of 44 volunteers along with the NSS Program Officer Mr. Denzil E Pinto, YRC Director Mr. Joel Pereira and Ms. Mary Priscilla faculty member rendered a day’s service to the affected people.

The volunteers cleared the silt accumulated in and around the residences of Mr. Vishwanatha Gowda and Mr. Anantha Bhat. The volunteers cleared around 3 truckloads of silt. More than the service this experience of sharing the difficulties of others gave a new understanding and experience to the youth associated with the programme.
