
Mangaluru: The Departments of Commerce and Science of the Milagres College, Mangaluru organized a Personality Development Program for the final year B Sc. FND and B Sc on September 18, 2019. HS students in the auditorium. The program began with a prayer song. Mrs.Patsy Lobo, Vice President of the Catholic Association of South Kanara(CASK) welcomed and introduced the chief guest Ms. Nayana Fernandes, President of Catholic Association of South Kanara(CASK) to the gathering.
Addressing the gathering Ms. Nayana Fernandes said that CASK is a vibrant organization for the welfare of poor and marginalized irrespective of caste and creed. They have conducted personality development for nearly 4000 students and 300 faculty. Rev.Fr. Michael Santhumayor, Principal addressed the gathering and appreciated the work of CASK.
Later, Mrs.Patsy Lobo began the session and conducted an activity in which students were asked to fill all the qualities that they see in themselves and noticed by others. Another guest speaker Dr. Derick Lobo shared his personal experience and briefed about seven soft skills that are essential for success in life and said that the goal of education is to become men and women for others.
Following Dr. Lobo’s address, Mrs.Patsy Lobo conducted activities that taught them how to be self-confident. Another guest speaker Mrs.Melora Pais, Lecturer at Shree Devi college spoke about etiquettes. At the end of the program, certificates were distributed to all the students. Ms. Merlin of III B Sc. HS proposed the vote of thanks.
