Shivamogga: Karnataka Madiga Dandora association has demanded for cabinet portfolio for the representative from the community in Congress-JDS government in the state.

The association also demanded that the state government should implement AJ Sadhashiva Committee report, should provide ministerial berth in the government and boards and corporations. State government should also waive Madiga community peoples bank loans. State government should sanction crematorium for the community in all the villages. Government should provide direct loans to community from Dr Ambedkar Development Corporation.

Association also alleged that the community still today is deprived from the social justices and remained away from mainstream. AJ Sadhashiva Committee Report clearly states that Madiga community economically, socially, educationally and politically remained backward.

Though there are political representatives from the community, state government haven’t given cabinet portfolios in the new government.
