Mangaluru: Department of Nursing Education and IInd year PB. B.Sc Nursing students of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing organized a continuing nursing education on “Nurse Expertise” at AJIMS auditorium, 3rd Floor, Kuntikana, Mangaluru on Thursday, June 15.

Prof. Sr. Dhanya Devasiya, Principal of Athena College of Nursing was the chief guest of the programme and spoke about “Empathy in Nurses”.

Smt. Ashritha P. Shetty, Director of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust presided over the programme. Dr. Larissa Martha Sams, Principal of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing; Dr. Jenifer D’ Souza, Head of Department of Community Health Nursing and Organizing Chairperson; Precilla Ferrao, Organizisng Secretary and others were present on the occasion.

Dr. Diana Lobo Prof. and Head of Department of Nursing foundation of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing spoke about “prevention of post operative complication”.

Krishna Kumar, M.D. of Tech. 2 people Pvt. Ltd. spoke about ECG fundamental and basic Dysrhythemia.

Prof. Chitra, Vice Principal of Unity College of Nursing spoke on “dehydration assessment & fluid management”.

The C.N.E. came to an end with valedictory programme at 5 pm. Student Nurses, Staff Nurses, faculty members from various colleges were the beneficiaries of C.N.E programme.
