Bengaluru: CA Valerian Dalmaida, a mentor and advisor of Newskarnataka.com visited and delivered a lecture to the students of Loyola Degree College, Bannerghatta Road Bangalore today. About 270 I-semester students and professors were glued on to his inspirational speech which he named it ‘Saga’.
The programme kick-started with a short introduction of the speaker by Dr Kumaraswamy BE, Dean of Humanities and HOD of Kannada.
CA Dalmaida, began his motivational speech encouraging the students to grasp the opportunity whenever it knocks the door and say yes to it. He further elucidated his speech with the title ‘Saga’ and unfolded its abbreviation as Start, Act on it, Goal and Achieve.
Highlighting the value and role of students to make a brighter future, he encouraged students to start-up what they want for their life and work on it. He added that students can become a great professionals in their life if they work on this Saga.
He lucidly narrated in short a saga of his own journey, explaining ups and downs of his life up to his meritorious achievements. Focusing on the goal and achievement in one’s life he stressed that never to quit but to be bold, creative, courageous and move on to life, so that one day to scale up to that height where one can be a successful person.
After his speech he was honoured and as a token of gratitude Fr Francis D’Almeida SJ, the Principal presented a sapling and book.
Lazarus Lepcha, HOD of Journalism proposed the vote of thanks and Roshan H Raj, Placement Officer and Lecturer Dept. of Journalism was the emcee for the day.
Dalmaida was accompanied by his wife Blanch Dalmaida, Canute J. Pinto, Director of NewsKarnataka and CA Marina Rodrigues.
